Apple Cider
Warm, floral apple cider for those cold days.
Ingredients
- 5 Gala Apples (Cored and quartered)
- 1 Orange (Quartered)
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1 Whole Nutmeg
- sprinkle Ground Allspice (To Taste)
- handful Star Anise (To Taste)
- drizzle Honey
- Water (To cover the fruit)
Directions
Step 1

Core and quarter the apples, quarter the orange and add to the stock pot. |
Step 2

Add in one whole cinnamon stick, one whole nutmeg, a sprinkling of ground allspice and a handful of star anise. |
Step 3

Add water to cover the fruit and bring to a boil. Drizzle in the honey. |
Step 4

Reduce the heat to a simmer and allow the fruit to cook for four hours. |
Step 5

Using a wooden spoon, mash the fruit until it becomes a pulpy liquid, and let the mixture simmer for another half hour. |
Step 6
|
Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then strain and transfer to a pitcher or any other serving container. Enjoy hot or cold! |
