Sesame Peanut Noodles
Weeknight stir-fry noodles with a delicious sesame peanut sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Ginger (freshly grated)
- 1 Scallion (chopped)
- 3 cloves Garlic (freshly grated)
- 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
- 4 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 2 tablespoons Peanut Butter
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- 1/4 Red Bell Pepper (chopped)
- 8oz Pork Tenderloin (previously cooked; optional)
- 1 tablespoon Grapeseed Oil
- 1/4 head Cabbage (chopped)
Directions
Step 1
|
Heat the grapeseed oil over medium-high heat and add in the sesame seeds, ginger and garlic. |
Step 2
|
Add in the chopped scallion, bell pepper and the cabbage. Cook until the cabbage softens. Cook the noodles according to the directions on the package, about 2-3 minutes. Drain the noodles. |
Step 3
|
Add in the rice vinegar and the soy sauce. Reduce the heat to low. |
Step 4
|
Next, add the honey, sesame oil and peanut butter. Allow the peanut butter to break down a bit, then add in the pork. Make sure the pork is coated with the sauce so that it soaks up the flavor. |
Step 5
|
At the very end, turn off the heat and add in the drained lo mein noodles. The sauce should have thickened by this point. Toss the noodles until coated with the sauce and until all the components are evenly distributed. |
Step 6
|
Garnish with a drizzle of sesame oil and a pinch of sesame seeds. |
